January is the time when both Pantone and Dulux announce their “Colour of the Year”.
Although very different in shade, the reasoning behind their choices are very similar
Pantone have chosen PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri, representing “an altered landscape of possibilities, opening us up to a new vision as we rewrite our lives.”
Dulux have chosen Blue Skies, exploring “key themes [of] open skies and a breath of fresh air”
Both colours acknowledge the changes we are seeing in ourselves after the last two year, and our search for more creativity and comfort- both physically and emotionally.
These tones are already filtering through into our new collections of blinds, and will continue to do so throughout the year, as new ranges arrive.
